We Did It—District 3 Has a Real Choice This November!
Thanks to the dedication of neighbors and volunteers, we exceeded the 1,382 verified signatures required. My name will officially be on the ballot as an independent candidate for Charlotte City Council District 3. This victory belongs to all of us—and now the real work begins.
Why I'm Qualified to Meet the Moment
My journey has prepared me to serve District 3 with integrity, experience, and a community-centered approach:
  • Lifetime of service and community building, not political advancement
  • Proven record of collaborating with communities—never imposing top-down solutions
  • Effective leadership in equity, public health, and systems change
  • Independent, pragmatic perspective rooted in District 3 residents' needs
  • Citizen leader committed to people-powered democracy
Why I'm Running
Community Over Politics
District 3 deserves a representative who listens, leads with clarity, and puts community over politics and personal agendas.
Lifetime of Service
From grassroots advocacy to nonprofit leadership, I've dedicated my life to serving Charlotte.
An Independent Voice That Puts People First
As an independent candidate, I'll bring a pragmatic, people-centered approach to City Council - one rooted in collaboration and mutual respect, not partisan leanings.
A Unifying Force
My goal is to be a unifying force that brings diverse perspectives together to tackle the challenges facing our community.
A Vision for District 3 and All of Charlotte
For decades, I've worked throughout District 3 with one core belief: a unified Charlotte is stronger. I believe harm to one harms all, and benefits should be shared by all. We must see ourselves not as isolated neighborhoods but as One Charlotte, where our success depends on our commitment to each other.
My vision preserves each neighborhood's unique character while recognizing our collective strength. Our shared prosperity is how Charlotte leads—by lifting everyone together.
The invisible lines dividing our city determine which areas thrive and which struggle. Some communities enjoy beautiful parks, quality retail, and restaurants, while others face fast food chains, vacant lots, and crumbling infrastructure—creating inequities in dignity, opportunity, and quality of life. I believe we are better than this.

I'm Running For One Charlotte For All
My platform stands on a fundamental truth: we rise or fall together as a community. When one neighborhood struggles, we all feel the impact; when one resident thrives, our entire city grows stronger. I envision a unified Charlotte where every person—regardless of zip code, income, or background—has genuine opportunities to live, work, play, and prosper in their own neighborhood without facing displacement or neglect. This isn't just a campaign promise—it's a commitment to building an equitable future where no community is left behind.
My Priorities
Affordable Housing & Stability
Keep longtime residents rooted in District 3 through anti-displacement measures, tax abatements for seniors, protections for renters on fixed incomes, and pathways for homeownership.
Affordability is relative to income, so we must create opportunities for higher wages.
Economic Opportunity
Support small businesses, job training, and workforce development that help families thrive. A stronger local economy means more stability for households and neighborhoods. A strong small business eco-system in district 3 that maintains the character of neighborhoods and allows residents to thrive and prosper where they live.
Public Safety for All
Safety is not about headlines—it's about people. From preventing gun violence to ensuring safe sidewalks, traffic calming, and community-based solutions, public safety must be comprehensive. We need investments in mental health, prevention, and neighborhood infrastructure to build lasting trust and security.
Healthy & Connected Neighborhoods
Grow green spaces, expand transit options, improved infrastructure, and invest in community amenities that make District 3 a great place to live and work.
People Over Parties
Serve with accountability, transparency, and independence—answering to neighbors, not political machines. Through collaboration and prioritizing citizens we make progress
A District 3 Where No One is Left Behind or Left Out
This is the through line for every priority. Affordable and accessible housing, good jobs, safe transit, green spaces, and accountable leadership only matter if they serve everyone.
My vision for District 3 is rooted in inclusion — ensuring that longtime residents, new neighbors, seniors, families, and future generations all share in the opportunities and prosperity of our community.
